Working conditions

Normal Operating Conditions

1. Ambient temperature

Maximum: +40°C, minimum: –15°C. The average value measured over any 24‑hour period shall not exceed +35°C.

2. Humidity conditions

Average relative humidity for a day: ≤95%

Average relative humidity for a month: ≤90%

Average water vapour pressure for a day: ≤2.2 kPa

Average water vapour pressure for a month: ≤1.8 kPa

3. Altitude

Not exceeding 1000 m above sea level.

4. Air purity

The surrounding air shall not be significantly contaminated by dust, smoke, corrosive or flammable gases, vapours, or salt spray.

5. Vibration and shock

Any external vibration or ground movement that may affect the switchgear shall be negligible.

6. Electromagnetic interference in secondary systems

The amplitude of induced electromagnetic interference shall not exceed 1.6 kV.

Special Operating Conditions

When the 22KV Medium Voltage Metal Clad Switchgear is required to operate under conditions exceeding the normal limits specified in GB/T 11022, the manufacturer and the user shall negotiate and agree upon special measures.

To prevent condensation, the switchgear is equipped with heaters. These heaters shall be energised whenever the switchgear is in standby mode. Even during normal operation, attention shall be paid to keep the heaters in service as necessary.

What is the main structure of KYN28-24?

The KYN28-24 switchgear mainly consists of two parts: the cabinet and the truck.

Cabinet structure

The cabinet is divided by metal partitions into four independent compartments.

1.Busbar compartment

Located in the upper rear part of the cabinet, used for installing the main busbars.

2.Circuit breaker compartment

Located in the middle part of the cabinet, used for installing the circuit breaker truck.

3.Cable compartment

The cable room is located in the lower rear part of the cabinet, used for connecting incoming and outgoing cables. It can also accommodate the components such as current transformers and earthing switches.

4.Relay and instrument compartment

Located in the upper front part of the cabinet, used for installing secondary components such as protection, control, and measuring devices.

Truck types

The truck is a movable component that carries the core elements. It is moved in and out by means of a screw mechanism. According to their functions, trucks are mainly classified into the following types:

1. Circuit breaker truck:The most common type, used for making and breaking normal load currents and fault currents.

2. Voltage transformer (PT) truck:Used to provide voltage signals for measurement and protection purposes.

3. Metering truck:Used for electrical energy metering.

4. Isolating truck:The disconector trolley usually used to create a visible disconnection point in the circuit, ensuring safety during maintenance.
