Product Structure

The HXGN15-12 11KV Medium Voltage Ring Main Unit MV Panels adopts a metal-enclosed fixed enclosure structure. The enclosure is typically constructed from riveted galvanized aluminum steel sheets and generally consists of an upper unit and a lower cable compartment.

The unit consists of the following four functional compartments:

Working Principle

1. Arc Quenching Principle of the Main Switch

SF6 Load Break Switch RMU: The switch shell is made of epoxy resin and filled with SF6 gas, which serves as both an insulating and arc-quenching medium. During opening process, a puffer-type mechanism generates a gas flow that extinguishes the arc, this can ensure stable and reliable interruption performance.

Vacuum Load Break Switch RMU: Uses a vacuum interrupter, where the high dielectric strength of the vacuum extinguishes the arc.This version offers the advantages of no risk of fire or explosion and a long electrical life.

2. Protection Principle of the Switch-Fuse Combination

The load switch can be combined with fuses. When any phase fuse blows, its striker triggers a linkage mechanism that opens the load switch, providing a single-operation interruption of short-circuit current to protect the transformer.

3. Ring Network Power Supply Principle

Ring main units can be flexibly combined and extended to form ring network power supply units. If one incoming line fails, the other incoming line can maintain power supply, ensuring continuous operation of user branches.

4. Safety Interlock Mechanism

The 11kV Medium Voltage Ring Main Unit MV Panels are equipped with a comprehensive "five-proof" mechanical interlocking device. For example, the hatch can only be opened after the load switch is open and the grounding switch is closed; the load switch cannot be closed when the hatch is open.
