KYN28-40.5 medium-voltage switchgear is a new product developed by Cotenele, with a rated voltage of up to 40.5kv,This KYN28-40.5 type of 33KV MV Switchgear Medium Voltage Switch Gear, is primarily intended for three-phase AC power systems with a rated voltage of 40.5 kV and a frequency of 50 Hz. It is commonly applied in single-busbar and sectionalized busbar arrangements. The product design complies with relevant standards such as IEC 298 and GB3906-2006.

The equipment can be fitted with the manufacturer’s own ZN85 and VTK series vacuum circuit breakers, or alternatively with ABB’s VD4 vacuum circuit breakers.

What are the products characteristics of KYN28-40.5 switchgear?
1. Metal-clad and modular compartments: The enclosure of 33KV MV Switchgear Medium Voltage Switch Gear is made of aluzinc steel plate and internal space divided into independent compartments, such as circuit breaker compartment, busbar compartment, cable compartment, and relay/instrument compartment. This structure achieves the "LSC2B" standard, which means that when a fault occurs or maintenance is carried out in one compartment, the operation of other compartments remains unaffected.
2. "Center-mounted" drawout circuit breaker arrangement: The core components such as vacuum circuit breaker, isolating switch, are installed on a removable truck (drawout unit). when it need maintenance, the faulty truck can be completely withdrawn and replaced with a spare one to quickly restore power supply, significantly shortening outage time.
3. "Five-prevention" mechanical interlocking: Through mandatory mechanical interlocking, it ensures that the next operation can only be performed under specific conditions. This function can effectively prevent such maloperations as incorrect closing or opening of the circuit breaker, moving the truck in or out under load, closing the earthing switch when the circuit is live, entering a live compartment by mistake, and closing the breaker with the earthing switch closed. This can ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
4. Top pressure relief channel: when an internal arc fault of the switchgear occured, the high-temperature and high-pressure gases are directed to release through the top channel, minimizing hazards and protecting operation and maintenance personnel.
